Setting the Conversion Conditions
First, set the conditions for executing analog output.
Resolution
“Resolution” signifies the number of bits used by an analog output device to represent analog signals.
The higher the resolution, the more finely the voltage range is segmented, allowing the device to
convert analog values to digital equivalents more precisely.
A device with a resolution of 12-bit divides the range width into 4096 segments.
When the device covers the range of 0 -
10V, the minimum unit of converted voltages is 10÷4096 ≈
2.44mV.
If the device has a resolution of 16-
bit, it is 10÷65536 ≈ 0.153m
V instead.
*T he resolution in the product is 16-bit.
Channel
“Channel” represents each channel No. of analog output signal.
For channel numbers, see “
Connecting an Interface Connector(Page45)
”.
Any number of analog outputs can be performed by setting up channels with software.
* There are 0-3 channels in the product.
Range
“Range” means the range of voltages or current at which analog output can be performed.
*The product cannot be used except in the ranges listed below.
AO-1604VIN-USB : ±10V
AO-1604AIN-USB : 0 - 20mA
