If the base station is not able to synchronise with the temperature/air
humidity sensor after a longer period (display shows "- - -" or "- -") or if
a button was pressed during the teaching phase, remove the batteries
from the base station and the temperature/air humidity sensor. Check
the cable connections between the outdoor sensors and correct these if
applicable. Wait at least 10 minutes and then re-insert the batteries (as
described in Point 4 and 5 in this chapter).
9.
You can now perform a function test by turning the wind wheel on the wind sen-
sor and carefully moving the rain sensor to the left and the right (you will hear a
click). After some time, the data in the corresponding fields of the display on the
base station changes. However, note that not all data is updated directly. The
data of the outdoor sensor is not transmitted to the base station immediately but
instead in a certain time interval.
10. If the function check was successful, the weather station can be placed/installed
at the intended site.
11. Setting up & mounting
This chapter tells you how to install or mount the base station and the outdoor sen-
sors.
Make sure when drilling/tightening the screws that no power, gas or
water pipes are damaged. This can be life-threatening!
Use suitably dimensioned attachment materials for installing the out-
door sensors or the base station. Depending on the wall, use suitable
screws and dowels. Ensure safe attachment or placement. If the
device drops down, it might injure persons or objects.
☞
Do not place the base station or the outdoor sensors in the vicinity of
sources of interference such as, for example, PCs, mobile telephones,
radios etc. These can disturb the reception Keep a distance to such
interference sources.
Carry out a reception test before mounting firmly. Should the base station have trou-
ble receiving the outdoor sensor data or the temperature/air humidity sensor with the
DCF reception. look for a more suitable place.
