Intended use
This product provides stepless control the speed of up to three computer fans. Furthermore, it has 2 USB2.0
outputs in the front. It must be installed in a computer.
Any usage other than described above is not permitted. Please read the operating instructions thoroughly and
keep them for further reference.
Safety instructions
We do not assume liability for resulting damages to property or personal injury if the
product has been abused in any way or damaged by improper use or failure to observe
these operating instructions. The warrantee will then expire!
An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important information in the operating
instructions. Carefully read the whole operating instructions before operating the device,
otherwise there is risk of danger.
Unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the device are inadmissible because of safety and approval
reasons (CE). Such acts invalidate the warranty.
When used in conjunction with other devices, observe the operating instructions and safety notices of
connected devices.
The product must not be exposed it to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, intense vibration, or
dampness.
The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children and pets!
Servicing, adjustment or repair works must only be carried out by a specialist/ specialist workshop.

Installation
Before installing the product, shut down the computer and then switch it off through the
power switch on the back of the power supply. Switching off the computer by on/off switch
is not sufficient.
Ground yourself to remove electrical static discharge (ESD) from your body and clothes
during installation. ESD can damage or destroy your computer or hardware components.
Locate a vacant 3.5” drive bay in the computer. Remove the respective slot metal. Depending on the
housing, you have to remove a metal screen. With some housings, this screen can be removed by loosening
screws. For other housings, it has to be carefully quarried out. To reach the metal screen, it is necessary for
many types of housings to remove the front panel.
Carefully slide the controller with the cables into the installation slot of the computer and fasten it by the
provided screws.
Connect the 4-pin connector to a respective connection of your computer’s power supply.
Connect the USB connection wires (VCC , GND , D+ , D- , VCC , GND , D+ and D- ) to the USB
connectors on the motherboard. (For details, please read the operating instructions of the motherboard).
Connect the fan cable to the respective connecting cables of the fan control. The connecting cables are
marked individually (F1, F2, F3).
Examine the routing of the cable. Make sure that no cable will block movement of any installed fans.
Close the computer case and then reconnect the power cord and other peripherals.
Turn on the computer.
Operation
Turn the knob clockwise to increase the fan speed. Turn the it anticlockwise to decrease the fan speed.
Each knob controls its respective fan (FAN1 SPEED for F1, FAN2 SPEED for F2 and FAN3 SPEED for
F3).
The controller can adjust the fan by ±10%.
Tips and Hints
USB devices allow you to plug and unplug them during operation. Therefore, you do not need to turn off the
computer when you want to plug-in/ unplug devices. However, if data transfer is currently taking place, the
application programme might crash and other data might get damaged as well.
The USB2.0 ports is backward compatible with USB1.1 devices. However the transfer rate will be the same
as the USB1.1 connection. To fully exploit the high speed (theoretically 480MBit/s, i.e. 60MByte/s), the USB
controller in the computer or USB hub must support USB2.0.
In practical operation, the 480MBit/s are not achieved. Hardly any device (e.g. hard disk, burner etc.) is in a
position to supply data so quickly. Other causes (e.g. simultaneous operation of other USB devices, protocol
information etc.) also reduce the transmission rate.
Disposal
In order to preserve, protect and improve the quality of environment, protect human health and
utilise natural resources prudently and rationally, the user should return unserviceable product to
relevant facilities in accordance with statutory regulations.
The crossed-out wheeled bin indicates the product needs to be disposed separately and not as
municipal waste.

Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Dieses Produkt ermöglicht eine stufenlose Kontrolle der Lüftergeschwindigkeit für bis zu drei Computer-Lüfter.
Des Weiteren verfügt das Gerät auf der Vorderseite über 2 USB2.0-Ausgänge. Die Lüftersteuerung muss in
einen Computer installiert werden.
Eine andere Verwendung, als oben beschrieben, ist nicht erlaubt. Lesen Sie die Bedienungsanleitung genau
durch, und bewahren Sie diese für späteres Nachschlagen auf.

Bei Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachtung dieser Bedienungsanleitung verursacht werden,

angeschlossen werden.
Das Produkt darf keinen extremen Temperaturen, direktem Sonnenlicht, starken Vibrationen oder Feuchtigkeit
ausgesetzt sein.
Das Produkt ist kein Spielzeug. Es gehört nicht in Kinderhände und ist von Haustieren fernzuhalten!
Wartung, Anpassungs- und Reparaturarbeiten dürfen nur von einem Spezialisten bzw. einer Fachwerkstatt
durchgeführt werden.

Einbau
Vor dem Einbau des Produktes fahren Sie den Computer herunter und schalten ihn
mit dem auf der Rückseite des Netzteils befindlichen Hauptschalters aus. Das bloße
Ausschalten des Computers am Ein/Aus-Schalter reicht nicht aus.
Achten Sie darauf, vor allen Arbeiten an empfindlichen Computerteilen sämtliche
statische Elektrizität von Ihrem Körper abzuleiten. Elektrostatische Entladungen können
den Computer oder einzelne Hardwarekomponenten beschädigen.
Suchen Sie einen freien 3,5“-Schacht im Gehäuse. Entfernen Sie die zugehörige Blende. Je nach Gehäuse
muss nun noch eine Metallabschirmung entfernt werden. Bei manchen Gehäusen ist diese abschraubbar,
manchmal muss sie vorsichtig herausgebrochen werden. Damit man an die Metallabschirmung herankommt,
ist bei vielen Gehäusen die komplette Frontblende zu entfernen.
Schieben Sie den 3,5“-Einschub mit den Kabeln vorsichtig in den Einbauschacht des Computers und
schrauben Sie ihn mit den mitgelieferten Schrauben fest.
Verbinden Sie den 4-Pin-Verbindungsstecker mit einem Anschluss der Stromversorgung ihres Computers.
Verbinden Sie die USB-Verbindungskabel (VCC , GND , D+ , D- , VCC , GND , D+ und D- ) mit
den USB-Anschlüssen auf der Hauptplatine. (Für weitere Details lesen Sie bitte die Bedienungsanleitung
der Hauptplatine.)
Verbinden Sie das Lüfterkabel mit den entsprechenden Verbindungskabeln der Lüftersteuerung. Die
Verbindungskabel sind individuell gekennzeichnet (F1, F2, F3).
Prüfen Sie den Leitungsweg des Kabels. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Kabel nicht die Bewegungsfreiheit
installierter Lüfter blockieren.
Schließen Sie das Gehäuse des Computers und verbinden Sie wieder das Stromkabel und weitere
Peripheriegeräte.
Schalten Sie den Computer ein.
Betrieb
Drehen Sie den Knopf im Uhrzeigersinn, um die Lüftergeschwindigkeit zu erhöhen. Drehen Sie ihn gegen
den Uhrzeigersinn, um die Geschwindigkeit zu verringern.
Jeder Knopf steuert seinen entsprechenden Lüfter (FAN1 SPEED für F1, FAN2 SPEED für F2 und FAN3
SPEED für F3).
Die Steuerung kann die Lüftergeschwindigkeit um ±10% verändern.
Tipps und Hinweise
USB-Geräte ermöglichen es Ihnen, diese während des Betriebs ein- bzw. auszustecken. Sie müssen
den Computer nicht ausschalten, um Geräte ein- bzw. auszustecken. Ist jedoch gerade ein Datentransfer
im Gange, kann das jeweilige Anwendungsprogramm abstürzen und weitere Daten können beschädigt
werden.
USB2.0-Anschlüsse sind rückwärtskompatibel mit USB1.1-Geräten. Die Übertragungsrate wird allerdings
der eines USB1.1-Anschlusses entsprechen. Um die hohe Übertragungrate voll auszuschöpfen
(theoretisch 480MBit/s, d.h. 60MByte/s), muss der USB-Controller im Computer bzw. der USB-Hub den
USB2.0-Standard unterstützen.
In der Praxis werden diese 480MBit/s nicht erreicht. Kaum ein Gerät (z.B. Festplatte, Brenner etc.) ist in
der Lage, Daten so schnell zur Verfügung zu stellen. Andere Ursachen (z.B. gleichzeitiger Betrieb weiterer
USB-Geräte, Protokollinformationen etc.) verringern die Übertragungsrate ebenfalls.
Entsorgung
Im Interesse unserer Umwelt und um die verwendeten Rohstoffe möglichst vollständig zu
recyceln, ist der Verbraucher aufgefordert, gebrauchte und defekte Geräte zu den öffentlichen
Sammelstellen für Elektroschrott zu bringen.
Das Zeichen der durchgestrichenen Abfalltonne auf Rädern bedeutet, dass dieses Produkt an
einer Sammelstelle für Elektronikschrott abgegeben werden muss, um es durch Recycling einer
bestmöglichen Rohstoffwiederverwertung zuzuführen.
