Model S “Super” Bearing Heater Instructions
General:
Carefully unpack your Cone Mount Bearing Heater and remove all packaging materials
and wrappings.
1.
Always wear heavy safety gloves to avoid risk of burn or shock
2.
Remove the Cone Safety Guard from the ConeMount Bearing Heater.
3.
Place the bearing or gear to be heated on the cone of the ConeMount Bearing
Heater.
4.
Place the thermostat box unit on the bearing. Be sure the thermostat rests on the
bearing inner race.
NOTE- Some bearings may be too small for use with the thermostat unit. In those cases,
mark the bearing inner race with the temperature crayon which is provided
*NEVER place the thermostat directly on cone unit
5.
Plug the ConeMount Bearing Heater into an electrical outlet of correct voltage.
6.
Turn the switch on the control box to the ON position.
7.
A red control light will be visible on the control box unit. When the light goes out
the bearing can be easily positioned on the shaft.
*NOTE
–
if the thermostat is not being used the control light will stay on. When the
temperature crayon mark melts, the bearing is ready for mounting.
8.
Turn the switch on the control box to the OFF position
9.
Disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet.
