8.6 CONNECTION OF THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS OF THE CONEL STREAM
DANGER: Danger to life due to deadly electric shock!
The electrical installation may only be carried out by certifi ed personnel, in this case
the applicable standards and regulations of the respective country in which the Conel
Stream is to be used must be observed;
This personnel must have read and understood this operating manual;
Before the activities begin, the system shall be switched off without voltage and secu-
red against unauthorized or unintentional re-entry;
Ensure that Conel Stream cannot be used without authorization or unintentionally
during his activities;
Refer to unauthorized persons (especially children, adolescents) or animals from the
fi eld of work/activity.
8.6.1 Electrical connection of the control unit
• The connecting cables for the electrical power supply (1.5m supply line with protective contact plug),
the supply for the pump switching machine and the supply line for the pump are already electrically
pre-wired;
• Connect the supply line for the centrifugal pump (protective contact coupling) coming from the pump
machine with the supply line (protective contact plug) of the circle pump.
ATTENTION:
The mains supply line (1.5m supply line with protective contact plug) DO NOT con-
nect to the electrical supply on the construction side - otherwise there is danger of
damage to the Conel Stream.
8.7 FUNCTION PUMP SWITCHING MACHINE
The pump switch is an electronic pressure switch that is installed on the pressure side of the pump and
automatically starts the pump when water is taken and switches off again after removal.
The pump switching machine consists of a compact plastic housing with an input/output socket 1“ AG
and includes:
•
an integrated pressure and fl ow sensor;
• a special check valve;
• an analog pressure gauge for pressure displays in the pressure line;
• a pressure membrane with expansion spring;
• a status indicator with 3 LED (POWER, ON, ERROR) and a control button (RESET);
• Dry run protection detection of the pump;
• Adjusting screw for adjusting the switch-on pressure;
• 1.5 meter long mains connection line with protective contact plug;
• 30 cm long connection with protective contact coupling for connection to the pump.
• The switch-on pressure is already set at the factory to 1.5 bar and can be individually adjusted bet-
ween 1.5 and 3.5 bar on the adjusting screw. To increase the switch-on pressure, turn the adjusting
screw of the pump switchgear to the right to reduce the switch-on pressure to the left. The setting of
the power-on pressure is infi nitely variable. The system only regulates the start-up pressure but has
no infl uence on the operating pressure of the system, which depends solely on the properties of the
pump.
• With a fl ow rate of < 2 liters/minute, the pump switching machine switches with a follow-up time of
approx. the pump automatically for 7 seconds.
• The pump switcher has a small water buffer (rubber membrane and expansion spring)which protects
the pump from too frequent start-up in the case of the smallest leaks in the piping system. We gene-
rally recommend the installation of a dimension-appropriate MAG.
• By the automatic reset function, the system is automatically started several times after an operating
failure to maintain operation as far as possible without manual intervention with the reset button.
