GENERAL
3.1
INTENDED PURPOSE
This water softener is used to protect the water pipes and hot water heater against lime scale. Partially sof-
tened water protects appliances and fittings and reduces consumption of detergents and cleaning agents.
Please refer to the chapter 4.1 “INTENDED USE” for use restrictions.

This water softener is suitable for use in cold drinking water (water of the munic-
ipal water supply) up to a maximum water temperature of 30 °C (86 °F). It is abso-
lutely essential that the manufacturer/supplier will be consulted prior to any op-
eration of the device using water of a different quality, respectively with water
that contains additives.
Lime scale deposits inhibit water flow and can therefore result in increased ener-
gy consumption.
