WATER PRESSURE
The water pressure must be between 1.5 bar and 10 bar.

ELECTRIAL DEVICES/EQUIPMENT
Electrical devices/equipment and equipment that are not splashproof and are located in the vicinity of the
dosing pump, may be damaged by water or mineral solution, that escapes during dosing, changing over of
the mineral solution container or incorrect use of the dosing pump.
In addition this may also result in short circuits if these electrical devices/equipment being connected to
the electrical power supply.
In the event of such cases persons are at risk and may sustain electrical shocks.
Where the water pressure is greater than 10 bar, a pressure reducer must be in-
stalled upstream of the dosing pump (see fig. 2). If the operating pressure is great-
er than 10 bar, operating faults can occur.
Fig. 2: Pressure reducer upstream of the dosing pump
We recommend installation of a pressure reducer for water pressures between 5
and 10 bar.
No electrical cables and equipment may be located below or in the immediate vi-
cinity of the dosing pump!
