This user manual is an essential part of this product.
The user manual should be read carefully before you use the
product for the first time. If the product is given to someone for
temporary use, be sure to enclose user manual to it.
- Do not misuse the product
- Store the product beyond reach of children and unauthorized
people.
- It is prohibited to disassemble or repair the product yourself.
Entrust product repair to qualified personnel and use original
spare parts only.
- Do not use the product in explosive environment, close to
flammable materials.
- Avoid heating the batteries to avoid the risk of explosion and
electrolyte leakage. In case of liquid contact with skin, wash it
immediately with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes,
flush with clean water during 10 minutes and consult the doctor.
FUNCTIONS/APPLICATIONS
Digital staff Digi Staff CONDTROL is an
easy-to-use electronic length measuring
instrument for professional users.
Just put it in required position, pull out the
sections and take measurements. Readings
will appear on digital display.
When using with rotary laser, it can
automatically calculate the height difference
relative to defined reference points and
show how much to dig or fill up the ground.
The hold button allows to keep measurement
result on the display. Measured values can
be stored in memory.

BEFORE START OPERATION
Insert/replace batteries
Remove the battery cover. Insert the batteries, observing correct
polarity. Put the battery cover back. Replace batteries as soon as
the symbol appears on the display. All batteries must be of
the same brand, with the same charge level. Remove the batteries
from the device if it’s not used for a long time to avoid corrosion
and battery discharge. All batteries must be replaced at the same
time.
Switch on/off
Switch on: the staff will switch on automatically as soon as the user
pulls out its section/s.
Switch off: the staff will switch off automatically in 5 min after the
last operation.
Measuring units
Press and hold the button during 1 second to select
measuring unit: inches, feet and inches, fractions, decimals, and
centimeters.
Support pole
Support pole (10 cm) length is detachable. Support pole protects the staff from shock when you put it on the ground. It also makes it
possible to set up the staff on watery ground. The smallest height of SD-300 is 130 cm, including 10cm support pole.
If the support pole is removed, short press the button .
Symbol appears on the display. Total height 120 cm is set.
If the support pole is attached, short press the button
again. Symbol appears on the display. The total height 130 cm is set.
OPERATION
1) Observing the readings on the bubble level, set the staff in vertical position.
2) Extend the staff to the measuring height and fix it by tightening the section fixing screw/s.
3) Press and hold the button for 1 second until zero symbol appears on the display and the displayed value is 0.0.
4) Short press the button . Current measurement is flashing on the display. The measurement will be fixed on the screen.
5) Short press the button again to start new measurement.
–
(minus) value: the user needs to fill the ground as the amount of measured value.
+
(plus) value: the user needs to cut the ground as the amount of measured value.
6) If needed, unwind the section fixing screw and set a new height of the staff and repeat actions in points 1-4.
7) To cancel zero point press and hold the button for 1 second and the staff will go back to standard measurement.
8) Press and hold the button or for 1 second to save measurement result in memory. Symbol

will appear
on LCD.
9) Short press the button or to recall restored measurements.
10) Move the staff up or down; restored measurement will disappears from the display.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Attention! This device is a precision instrument and requires careful handling. Maintenance of the following recommendations will
extend the life of the device:
- Protect the device from bumps, falling and intense vibration; do not allow moisture, dust and foreign objects get inside the device.
- If liquids get inside the device, first remove the batteries, then contact a service center.
- Do not store and use the device in increased humidity conditions.
- Do not store the product in rooms where temperature is below -10°С. After storage in low temperature conditions and subsequent
transfer to a warm room, the device heats up, causing moisture condense inside the device and damage microcircuits.
- Do not expose the device to direct sunlight and protect it from prolonged exposure to sunlight and high temperature.
- Clean the device with a soft cloth slightly made damp with a mild soap solution. Do not use cleaning solvents or abrasives.
