OPERATING

INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance is intended for household
use. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz)
only. Standard curling appliances are
designed to operate at 110 to 125 volts AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one
blade is wider than the other.) As a safety
feature, this plug will fit into a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not
fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If
it still does not fit, contact a qualified elec-
trician. Do not attempt to defeat this safe-
ty feature.

SUPER STYLING GUIDE

Your best looks begin with a good haircut
that’s well maintained. Always treat hair
right with superior quality shampoos, condi-
tioners, and finishing products.

HOT AIR STYLING BRUSH INSTRUCTIONS

1. Plug the appliance cord into a standard
household electrical outer (120V). This unit
has a pre-adjusted temperature heat setting
for use on all hair types.

2. Use of the hot air styling brush is very
easy to master. Roll one section of hair at a
time around the hot air styling brush from

the bottom up. To avoid tangoling, never roll
the hair around the hot air styling brush
more than two time. When hair is warm (not
hot) to the touch, the curl is set. For hair that
is harder to curl, leave the hot air styling
brush in place a little longer. A hot styling
brush generally gives a lighter curl than a
curling iron — for very hard to curl hair, try
switching to your curling iron.

3. The hot air stlying brush can be used for
quick touchups without shampooing. After
heating the hot air styling brush, simply
brush the hair back to its original style. To
change the style, mist the hair lightly with
water before using the hot air styling brush.
No combing is necessary!

TO STRAIGHTEN

To straighten hair, pull a small section taut,
then pass brush over hair from roots to
ends. Repeat procedure until natural waves
are relaxed.

TO WAVE

For flowing waves, separate a wider section
of hair than you normally do for curling and
roll it as you usually do. For best results,
hair should be at least 6-8 inches long.

ON BLUNT CUTS

Use the hot air styling brush on blunt cuts to
eliminate kinks or unwanted flips by just
turning the hair under.

FOR BACKWARD MOVEMENT

Make the hair seem to flow back by separat-
ing a section of hair just above the ear, plac-
ing the hot air styling brush near the scalp,
and rolling the hair forward. Then, taking the
same section, place the hot styling brush
lower on the hair and roll toward the back of
the head. Creates a super sophisticated
look.

HOT AIR CURLING IRON INSTRUCTIONS

1. Section damp or dry hair evenly, and
comb each section before winding. Pressing
the automatic curl release, place hot air curl-
ing iron midway up the hair section, then
spread hair evenly between spoon and bar-
rel. Release automatic curl release to hold
hair in place. Gently slide hot air curling iron
down to hair ends. To avoid crimped ends,
make sure they are securely wound under
the spoon in the direction of the desired
curl.

2. Wind the hair up as you want it curled,
being careful not to let the iron touch the
scalp. Hold in place 8-12 seconds. For
tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For
looser, free-flowing curls, roll more hair.

3. To remove hot air curling iron, unwind the
hair and press the automatic curl release. To
“set” the curl, do not comb or brush hair
until it cools.

4. Some experimenting is necessary when
first using the hot air curling iron, or when
changing to a different hairstyle.

FOR TOUSLED HAIR

Create soft, tousled waves by curling each
hair section in a random direction. Then,
turn head up-side down, shake, and gently
scrunch hair with fingers. Bring head back
to position and repeat for fullest volume.

WIDE WAVES

Pick up a section of hair and place the
curlingiron under it close to the scalp mak-
ing half a turn downward. Remove the hot
air curling iron. Working with the same hair
section, start where you left off and place
hte hot air curling iron on top of the hair,
curling it up half a turn. Proceed down the
same hair section, alternating the curl
upward and downward. Repeat procedure
with remaining sections of hair. For best
results, hair should be about 6-8 inches
long.

USE AS A CURLING IRON
OR STYLING BRUSH

To attach brush

1. Make sure appliance is cool.

2. Slip brush onto iron barrel aligning brush
groove with the curling iron clamp.

3. Push gently until brush snaps and locks
into place.

To remove brush:

1. Make sure appliance is cool.
2. Pull attachment straight off using gentle
to moderate force.

This hair styling appliance uses hot air jets
to surround and penetrate hair layers for
fast, powerful, gentle setting or styling
action that lasts all day. Its unique heating
system allows it to heat up instantly. You
can use it seconds after it is plugged in for a
curl you never thought achievable before
from a curling iron or curling brush.

USER

MAINTENANCE

Your appliance is virtually maintenance-free.
No lubrication is needed. For proper operating
performance, the appliance must be kept
clean.

When cleaning is needed, unplug the cord
and clean dust and lint from air intake open-
ings with a small brush attachmentof a vacu-
um cleaner. The outer surface of the appliance
should be wiped clean with a damp cloth only.

Blocked or clogged air intake vents will
cause the appliance to overheat.

If overheat-

ing occurs, an automatic safety device will
shut the appliance or the heat off to prevent
damage or personal injury. If the unit or the
heat cycles off, unplug the cord and allow the
appliance to cool for 10 to 15 minutes before
restarting. Make sure the air vents are clean.

CAUTION

NEVER allow the power supply cord to be
pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap
the cord around the appliance. Damage will
occur at the high-flex point of entry into the
appliance causing it to rupture and short cir-
cuit.  Inspect the cord frequently for
damage.

Stop us immediately if damage is visible
or if unit stops or operates intermittently.

If the cord or appliance is damaged or does
not operate properly, return it for repair to
place of purchase. No repairs should be
attempted by the consumer.

STORAGE

When not in use, your appliance should be
disconnected and stored in a safe, dry loca-
tion out of reach of children. Do not wrap the
line cord around the appliance. Allow the cord
to hang or lie loose and straight at the point of
entry into the appliance.

WARNING:

IF YOU THINK THE

POWER IS OFF WHEN

THE SWITCH IS OFF

YOU’RE WRONG.

KEEP AWAY FROM WATER

Everyone knows that electricity and
water are a dangerous combination. But
did you know that an electric appliance is
still electrically live even if the switch is
off? If the plug is in, the power is on. So
when you are not using your appliances,
keep them unplugged.
