to a service centre for examination and repair.

6) Do not carry this appliance by supply cord or use cord as a handle.

7) Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.

10) Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used 
or where oxygen is being administered.

11) To disconnect, turn all controls to the “OFF” position, then remove plug from outlet.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

The Body Benefits™ Heated Massaging Back System with Pulsating Massage and Sound is designed
to be used in your home, office or automobile. We have provided an AC adapter, which allows you to
enjoy this product at home or in the office by plugging it into a 120 volt outlet. In addition, you can

experience a soothing massage in your automobile by plugging the DC car adapter into the cigarette

lighter. For your safety, please use only the adapters provided with this massager. Elastic straps are
attached to the seat which allow you to securely fasten the massager to most any automobile seat 
or chair.

This massager has been designed for ease of operation. To create your own custom massage, follow
these easy steps: With all the slide switches on the hand controller in the “OFF” position, connect the
power cord to the hand controller. In an automobile use the DC car adapter; at home or office use the 
120 Volt AC Adapter. There are 5 switches on the hand controller. 

The TOP 4 SWITCHES control the vibrating motors:

1st Switch

LEFT SHOULDER

2nd Switch

RIGHT SHOULDER

3rd Switch

LOWER BACK

4th Switch

SEAT

Each slide switch has an “OFF” position and 3 massage strength settings: “LO” and “HI” pulsating 
massage, and “VIB”: steady vibration. When a motor is activated, the corresponding L.E.D. lights to
indicate the same. Try each motor setting to create the custom massage you desire.

The BOTTOM SWITCH is the ON/OFF heat control. Slide the switch to the right to activate 
the heat in the middle section of the back. The heat L.E.D. lights when the feature is activated.

Please note: Activate the heat option only while the Back Massaging System is in use. 
Do not “preheat” the massager. After using, return all switches to the “OFF” position, 
and disconnect power before storing.

PULSATING MASSAGE

For an intense massage, this unit offers the option of a pulsating massage; the motors turn on and off
to create the feel of pulsation.

To utilize this option:

1) Select either “Low” or “Hi” on any of the 4 independently activated motors.  The motors will start 
turning on and off for an intense massage.

2) For added customization, there is a dial marked “Pulse Intensity” located on the right side of the
hand controller which controls the frequency of the pulse feature when it is in the pulse mode.  To
increase the frequency of pulse, move the dial upward.  To decrease the speed of the pulsation, turn
the dial fully downward.

3) For a steady massage or vibration, select “Vib” on all four-massage zones.  

SOUND THERAPY

Sound therapy has been incorporated into the massager through 2 built-in speakers located by the
headrest that offer ten soothing and relaxing sound recordings: Ocean Waves, Stream, Tropical Forest,
Waterfall, Rainfall, Song Birds, Thunderstorm, Summer Night, Heartbeat and White Noise.

To operate the sound on this unit, refer to the Volume Control Knob 
and Two Push Buttons at the upper portion of the hand control:

1) To turn the sound option on, press the ON/OFF button.

2) To select the sound you would like to listen to, press the SELECT button. As this button is 
repeatedly depressed, you will be able to scroll through the 10 sounds offered on this unit.

3) To control the volume of the sound option, use the control knob located at the top 
of the hand control. For lower volume, turn the knob to the left and for maximum volume 
turn the knob fully to the right.

4) To turn the sound option off, press the ON/OFF button once again.

CAUTIONS

• This massager should not be used in the following cases:
Tuberculosis, benign and malignant tumors, hemorrhages, inflammations of the skin, spinal cord
injuries, phlebitis and thrombosis, open and fresh wounds, bruises, broken skin or varicose veins, 
undetermined calf pain, or joint pain.

• Consult your physician, should you have any therapeutic questions regarding use of this massager. 
• Do not use on any unexplained pain, or swollen muscles, or following a serious muscular 
injury, before consulting your physician.

• Keep away from children.

• Discontinue use of massage if pain increases or swelling occurs after application.

• Do not use while taking pain medication, after consuming alcohol, or if you are on any medication 
that reduces your skin’s sensitivity.

RECOMMENDED MASSAGING TIMES

Generally, massage should only last 15 minutes on any one part of the body. 
Treatment may be applied once or twice a day as desired.

As metabolism varies among individuals, so does their response to massage. 
You will soon adjust the time to suit your particular needs and personal comfort. 
If you have any doubts regarding treatment we recommend you consult your physician.
