Web-Based Management
The web-based management interface
enables the easy configuration of
advanced functions of the switches such
as Addressing Aging Control, Port
Operation Mode Control and Port Status
Report. The Address Aging Control allows
user to specify the time-out duration for
maintaining the oldest MAC address entry.
The Port Operation Mode enables manual
configuration of speed (10/100 Mbps) and
transmission (Full/Half Duplex) mode. The
Port Status Report shows the summary of
the operation modes of all the switch
ports.
Segment Your Network
Instead of using routers to segment the
networks, the Port-based Virtual LAN
allows user to segment the network using
the individual port to set Virtual LAN group
membership. The Virtual LAN can be used
to control broadcast traffic often found in
large networks as well as enabling users
the ability to create smaller networks for
better management and more privacy.
Linking Switches
This feature enables users to uplink
switches through the Port Trunking
feature. It uses 4 ports to daisy chain the
next switch together, enabling effective
data transfer of up to 800 Mbps between
them.
Monitoring
Using the port mirroring function
enables user to monitor desired port
traffic from the mirroring port, giving
users the power to troubleshoot the
switch easily.
High Performance
The SXP2224WM uses full bandwidth
non-blocking
architecture
for
wire-speed operations that allow data
to be transferred at higher speed.
Plug and Play Operations
The SXP2224WM can operate out of
the box with no further configuration
needed. Its built-in auto-negotiation
feature allows 10/100 Mbps
auto-sensing ports to adjust the speed
to the work stations’ or network
servers’ Ethernet adapter. Auto
MDI/MDI-X is featured in every port
which allows any type of Category 5
Ethernet cable to be used.
Expansion
The Compex SXP2224WM offers one
expansion slot that caters to one cop-
per-based Gigabit port and one GBIC
slot or two copper-based Gigabit
ports.
The Compex SXP2224WM is a 24-ports + 1 modular slot web-managed
switch that allows configuration of all advanced features of the switch that
uses web-based management interface. SXP2224WM has advanced func-
tions such as Port-based Virtual LAN and Port Trunking. In addition, the
switch comes with one optional expansion slot that caters for a 100/1000
Mbps fiber optical expansion module that can be used to link to remote serv-
ers or core switching devices to a maximum distance of 2 kilometers. It is an
ideal switch for small and medium enterprise environment.
