Troubleshooting
Introduction
Problems experienced in wireless LAN operation can be related to:
■
Configuration mismatch
■
Component failure
■
Wired or wireless network problems.
Problem-solving Approach
To resolve a configuration mismatch you will need to compare the configuration
parameter settings of both Access Points and all stations involved.
To determine a component failure, check the LED activity of the Access Point.
You can use the “LED Error Table” on page B-2 to determine if a problem has a
hardware-related cause (component failure). This table may also provide help in
diagnosing and solving operational problems that might have other possible
causes.
When your Access Point appears to have stopped responding to normal bridging
requests, you may try to reboot the device as described under “Rebooting
Access Points” on page B-4.
In exceptional cases you may consider to perform a forced reload procedure as
described in appendix C “Forced Reload Procedure”.
