IDE DPS Self-Test.
The workstation screen will display the list of DPS-capable
hard drives that are installed on the workstation.

If no DPS capable hard drives are installed, the IDE DPS
Self-Test option will not appear on the screen.
4. Select the hard drive to be tested and follow the screen
prompts to complete the testing process.
When the test has been completed, one of three messages will
be displayed:
■ Test Succeeded. Completion Code 0.
■ Test Aborted. Completion Code 1 or 2.
■ Test Failed. Drive Replacement Recommended. Completion
Code 3 through 14.
If the test failed, the completion code should be recorded and
reported to your service provider for help in diagnosing the
workstation problem.

CD
Be sure to browse the Workstation Reference Library CD. The
CD contains detailed product information about your graphics
controller and certain options, as well as the Compaq Safety &
Comfort Guide. The documents are in PDF file format with an
easy-to-use graphical interface. When you insert the CD into
the CD-ROM drive, the CD automatically detects your
operating system language and loads the corresponding
language files, if available.
Registration
Be sure to register your workstation with Compaq. Registration
establishes a record of ownership and gives you an opportunity
to receive product announcements, updates, and other
communications periodically, if you choose to do so.
Registration is easy—just visit Compaq’s Web site at
www.compaq.com/register and follow the instructions that
appear on the screen.
