Removing an Expansion Slot Cover
1. If you have locked the Smart Cover Lock, use Computer
Setup to unlock the lock and disable the Smart Cover
Sensor.
2. Shut down the operating system properly, then turn off the
workstation and any external devices, then disconnect the
power cord from the power outlet.
3. Remove the workstation access panel.
4. Raise the expansion card cage into service position 2. You
do not need to remove the cage from the chassis.
5. Locate the correct vacant slot in the expansion card cage.
6. Remove the screw at the side of the expansion slot, then
remove the expansion slot cover from the slot as
illustrated.
