or AlphaBios does
not recognize the
tape drive.
■
Check the connections of the signal cable.
■
Check the seating of the controller/adapter.
■
If multiple SCSI devices are used, make sure
that each device has a unique SCSI ID.
■
If none of these steps solve the problem, then
remove, replace, and test each of the following
components separately:
cables, tape drive, and finally, the controller.
■
Contact a Compaq authorized service provider.
