Removing DIMM Modules
To remove a memory module:
1. Turn off the workstation.
2. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
3. Remove the workstation cover.
4. Disconnect all cables from the system board.
5. Remove the following components:

expansion board cage
❏
system board tray
6. Press outward on both latches

of the DIMM module at the same
time. This releases the DIMM and partially pushes it out of the socket.
7. Lift the DIMM

straight out of the socket.

8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for each module that you want to remove. You
MUST remove DIMMs in pairs if you are permanently removing the
DIMMs or if you are upgrading DIMMs.
9. Slide the system board tray back in.
