Using the cable modem Web Manager
Your cable modem Web Manager is available to view and monitor the operational status and
network configuration settings of your cable modem.
Web Manager menu links
The main menu links and related sub-menu option links are displayed along the top of your
cable modem Web Manager screen. Click on the main menu link to view any of the other
available screens.
View the network connection status
Use the Web Manager to view and monitor the network configuration settings and
operational status of your cable modem. To open the Web Manager:
1. Open a web browser (such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari) on the
client device connected to your cable modem.
2. Type
192.168.100.1
in the address bar and then press Enter to open the Web Manager
status screen.
3. Enter the default username
admin
and the default password
password
in the Login page
and then press Apply .
4. In the Login Settings screen, change the password.
5. After you change the password, the Login screen appears to enter the login credentials.
The Web Manager screen appears.
Status screen
The Status screen shows the current status of the upstream and downstream channels for
your cable modem, including the MAC addresses for various ports.
