Call request in PABX mode
For call requests and input messages, it is possible to combine auto-dialler mode with PABX mode.
This means, at initiation of a call request or input message, automatically a switch-over to
is initiated. Thereby, the respective features of this mode will become effective (
).
In spite of that feature, a phone call can still be built up as described at
Incoming phone call to Intercom system
Initiate call
From the VoIP phone, a call to an Intercom station can be built up by means of the respective dial prefix
(
) or other functions can be carried out in the Intercom Server.
Example – dialling to Intercom station “103”:
If a password is defined, this code has to be dialled right after the dial prefix:
A call from a VoIP phone to the Intercom system is built up via the 1st channel of the Gx-IAX card. If
this channel is busy, the next idle channel is used automatically (
see “Dynamic channel allocation”
). For this reason, it is recommended to define the same password for each channel of a
Gx-IAX card.
End conversation
End the conversation by pressing the button “#” at the VoIP phone or by pressing the button
X
at
the Intercom station.
After the conversation has been ended, the connection to the Intercom system stays upright for a
configurable time. During this time, a new conversation can be built up or other functions can be car-
ried out in the Intercom Server.
