Configuration: BROADCAST
This section defines up to ten multicast RTP streams that can be defined that can be received by DU-
ETTO with different priority levels for audio output (duration of audio output is defined by multicast
sender). Each incoming multicast has a defined priority level per receiver (1 (highest) to 10 (lowest)),
whereby only the audio signals of the multicast with the highest priority level will be put out. Other
multicasts will be faded out as long as a higher priority multicast is active at the respective receiver.

NOTE: fade out of multicasts by normal calls
Multicasts with priority levels 1 and 2 fade out normal calls. Multicasts with priority levels 3 to 10 will
be faded out by normal calls.
GOOD TO KNOW:
What is RTP multicast?
A RTP multicast stream is a RTP stream that has a multicast IP address as target address. These RTP/IP
packets are forwarded by the network switches to all ports and all connected network devices are able
to receive those packets. This method transmits the audio just once and avoids streaming the audio to
each receiver individually (unicast) and preserves network bandwidth (
).
