Functions & configuration

Inversion of inputs

Each input („E1“ to „E8“) of the EB8E4A can be inverted. Therefore, the state “Short” will be processed
as idle state and the previously defined action will be carried out at “Open”.

Carry out the following configuration in CCT 800 to invert inputs:

Select

 Subscriber > Station properties > ET808 family > EB8E4A > # - Station # >

tab

Gen-

eral settings

.

Activate the checkbox

Inverted

for the respective input (“E1“ to “E8“).

Input de-bounce time

For each of the eight inputs “E1” to “E8” on the EB8E4A, it is possible to adjust a de-bounce time.
Therefore, a period can be defined in which a signal has to be present at one input in order to be de-
tected from the system.

Carry out the following configuration in CCT 800 to set an input de-bounce time:

Select

Subscriber > Station properties > ET808 family > EB8E4A > # - Station # >

 tab

 Gen-

eral settings

.

In the drop-down list

Input de-bounce time [ms]

, define

the de-bounce time in milliseconds (“16”,

“64”, “256” or “1024”).

Repetition lock for inputs

For each of the eight inputs “E1” to “E8” on the EB8E4A, it is possible to activate a repetition lock.
Therefore, a time interval can be defined in which only a certain number of calls can be initiated to pre-
vent repeated calls.

Carry out the following configuration in CCT 800 to activate a repetition lock:

Select

Subscriber > Station properties > ET808 family > EB8E4A > # - Station # >

 tab

Gen-

eral settings

.

In the drop-down list

Interval [s]

, define

the desired time interval in seconds (“1”, “2”, “4”, “8”,

“16”, “32”, “64” or “128”).

In the field

Repetition lock

, define

the interval after which a new call can be initiated. Here, the fol-

lowing options are available:

“Interval must elapse each time”: After each initiated call (or any other defined action), a time in-
terval must elapse before a new call can be initiated.

“Interval must elapse each 2nd time”: Two calls can be initiated in a row. In this case, only two
calls can be initiated per beforehand-defined time interval.

“Interval must elapse each 4th time”: Four calls can be initiated in a row. In this case, only four
calls can be initiated per beforehand-defined time interval.

Example:

In the following scenario, the configuration “Interval must elapse each 4th time” with a time

interval of 16 seconds was chosen.

Within of 16 seconds, four calls have been initiated:

There is a need to wait until 16 seconds have elapsed to initiate four calls again.
