EMPTYING THE DEBRIS HOPPER

To empty the debris hopper, proceed as follows:

1.  Take the machine to the maintenance area.

N.B.

: The place designated for this operation must comply with current environmental protection regulations.

2.  Make sure the machine has been secured (see the section titled “

SECURING THE MACHINE

”).

CAUTION

: Users are advised to always wear protective gloves, to avoid the risk of serious injury to hands.

3. 

Standing to the left side of the machine disconnect the debris hopper vacuum tube (1) (

Fig. 1

).

4.  Using the handle moulded into the debris hopper, slide it out of the brush head pre-assembly (

Fig. 2

).

5.  Go to the place designated for emptying the debris hopper, and empty it. If necessary, use a spatula and a jet of water to remove the dirt inside the debris hopper.

N.B.

6.  Repeat the operations in reverse order to reassemble all the parts.

CLEANING THE RECOVERY TANK FILTER-FLOAT

Careful cleaning of the recovery tank filter-float guarantees better cleaning of the floor as well as a longer vacuum motor lifespan.

Proceed as follows to clean the recovery tank filter-float:

1.  Take the machine to the maintenance area.

N.B.

: The place designated for this operation must comply with current environmental protection regulations.

2.  Make sure the machine has been secured (see the section titled “

SECURING THE MACHINE

”).

CAUTION

: Users are advised to always wear protective gloves, to avoid the risk of serious injury to hands.

3. 

Grip the handle (1) on the back of the recovery tank cover and remove it (

Fig. 1

).

4. 

Unscrew the floating cover (2) (

Fig. 2

).

5. 

Remove the vacuum filter (3) and clean it (

Fig. 3

).

N.B.

: You are advised to use a jet of air to remove the impurities before cleaning the filter. Position the filter at least 20cm from the air jet.

ATTENTION

: Do not use highly corrosive products to clean the filter, to avoid damaging it.

6. 

Unscrew the float's upper body (4) (

Fig. 4

).

N.B.

: When removing the upper part of the float, be very careful not to remove the lower (5) part as well (

Fig. 4

).

7. 

Remove the float (6) (

Fig. 5

). Rinse the inside with a jet of water. If necessary, use a spatula to remove the sludge that has accumulated at the bottom of the float.

CLEANING THE SQUEEGEE BODY

The careful cleaning of the whole vacuum unit ensures better drying and cleaning of the floor as well as a longer vacuum motor life.

To carry out the cleaning of the squeegee body, proceed as follows:

1.  Take the machine to the designated maintenance place.

N.B.

: The place designated for this operation must comply with current environmental protection regulations.

2.  Make sure the machine is in a safe condition (read “

MACHINE SAFETY

”).

CAUTION

: Users are advised to always wear protective gloves, to avoid the risk of serious injury to hands.

3.  Stand at the back of the machine.

4. 

Remove the vacuum hose (1) from the sleeve in the vacuum nozzle (2) (

Fig. 1

).

5. 

Unscrew the knobs (3) in the squeegee body pre-assembly (

Fig. 2

).

6.  Remove the squeegee body from the slits in the squeegee connector (

Fig. 3

).

N.B.

7. 

First with a jet of water and then with a damp cloth, thoroughly clean the vacuum chamber (4) of the squeegee unit (

Fig. 4

).

8. 

First with a jet of water and then with a damp cloth, thoroughly clean the front rubber blade (5) of the squeegee unit (

Fig. 5

).

9. 

Check the wear of the front rubber blade (5) on the squeegee body; if the edge of the rubber in contact with the floor is worn, replace it. Refer to “

REPLACING THE SQUEEGEE UNIT RUBBER BLADES

”.

10. 

First with a jet of water and then with a damp cloth, thoroughly clean the rear rubber blade (6) of the squeegee unit (

Fig. 6

).

11. 

Check the wear of the rear rubber blade (6) on the squeegee body; if the edge of the rubber in contact with the floor is worn proceed with replacement, reading the paragraph “

REPLACING THE SQUEEGEE 

UNIT RUBBER BLADES

” first, in any event it is possible to turn the rubber blade around four edges.

12. 

Unscrew the knobs (7) that fix the vacuum nozzle (2) to the squeegee unit (

Fig. 7

).

13. 

First with a jet of water and then with a damp cloth, thoroughly clean the vacuum nozzle (2). Also clean the squeegee body support surface.

14.  Repeat the operations in reverse order to reassemble all the parts.
