TO OPERATE THE FAN/LIGHT WITH REMOTE CONTROL

NOTE: 

Tent light and fan may be in operation at the same time or separately.

FOR THE TENT LIGHT:

1.  Point the remote control at the fan/light unit on ceiling of tent.
2. Press the light button on the remote control to turn on the light. The number of times 

you press the button will allow you to choose your lighting preference (Fig. 10):
• Once for HIGH   • Twice for LOW   • Three for Night Light   • Fourth Time for OFF 

FOR THE TENT FAN:

1.  Point the remote control at the fan/light unit on ceiling of tent.
2. Press the fan button on the remote control to turn on the fan. 

The number of times you press the button will allow you to 
choose the fan speed (Fig. 10):
• Once for HIGH   • Twice for LOW   • Third time for OFF

TO OPERATE THE FAN/LIGHT WITH BUTTONS ON FAN HOUSING

1.  The light and fan may be operated manually with the use of the 

light and fan buttons on the fan/light housing. (Fig. 11)

2. Press the appropriate button the number of times (as stated 

above) to select the lighting or fan speed you prefer.

Carefully read all instructions before use and save for future reference.

TO INSTALL OR REPLACE POWER PACK BATTERIES

Your new Coleman

®

Tent Lighting System operates on 8 “D” cell batteries. For longest life

use alkaline batteries.

1.  If Red Button on front of battery pack is glowing, push button to turn power “OFF”. (Fig. 1)
2. Turn battery pack over and place coin into slot and rotate to unlock. (Fig. 2)
3.  Lift up lid and install 8 “D” cell batteries in the correct orientation as shown on the 

battery compartment. Always be careful that batteries are installed correctly. (Fig. 3)

4.  Close lid, insert coin into slot and rotate to locked position.
5.  Place battery pack on floor, on inside of tent, near a corner seam. (Fig. 4)

TO REPLACE REMOTE CONTROL BATTERY

1.   Remove 4 screws from back of transmitter and install one

12v, 23AE alkaline battery. (Fig. 7)

2. Reassemble transmitter.

TO SET UP & CONNECT POWER PACK T0 FAN/LIGHT

1.  Unsnap rubber plug from side of power 

pack and plug the power cord that you ran
down the seam of your tent into the 
power pack. (Fig. 8)

2.  Push the red button on the power pack to 

turn on main power. The button on the 
power pack and the red light in center of 
fan/light unit will glow when main power
is “ON”. (Fig. 9)

TO INSTALL POWER HUB WITH WIRING TO TENT

NOTE:

If tent is tall, position and mount the power hub with wiring before raising tent.

1. Position power hub with wiring on the inside of tent at the desired location near the 

highest center point.

2. While holding power hub with wiring stationary inside the tent, place mounting plate

on the outside of the main tent fabric (not on outside of tent fly). Align mounting plate 
and magnet on power hub. (Fig. 5)

3. Be sure the mounting plate is making good contact with the magnet before installing 

the fan/light.

4. Attach fan/light by inserting threaded end into the socket and turning clockwise until 

tightened (Fig. 6). Do not over tighten.

5. Run wiring from power hub down seam in tent and attach to seam with provided 

wiring clips.
