12.7 Electric motor exchange
The electric motor may only be repaired at the motor manufacturer’s facility or in
special workshops with an ATEX certificate of competence.
Keep the repair certificate as associated documentation.
Conditions:
• Fan has been prepared for repairs

• Impeller has been removed

Procedure:
• Remove all cables from the
terminal box of the electric
motor and protect from
damage.
• Support and secure the
electric motor with suitable
supports.
• Loosen mounting nuts on
motor flange.
• Move a heavy electric motor
with suitable hoisting gear.
• Use the lifting eye bolt
on the electric motor for
this purpose.

NOTICE Risk of damage to the electric motor
Damaged motor bearings.

Protect the motor shaft/bearings from being hit during transport and mount-
ing of the electric motor.

Observe the instructions in the manual from the motor manufacturer.
• Fasten mounting nuts according to the following table.
• The thread is based on the motor size.
