Care and maintenance
• Always unplug the vacuum from the wall socket before cleaning/maintenance or
when it is not in use for an extended period.
• Clean the exterior of the vacuum using a lightly moistened cloth. Use only mild
cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Make sure that all components are completely dry before storing the vacuum in
a dry dust-free environment and away from the reach of children.
Cleaning the cloth dust filter
1. Make sure that the vacuum is unplugged from the mains.
2. Remove the cloth filter.
3. Brush or shake the filter free of dirt and debris in an appropriate outdoor area.
4. Hand wash the filter with water and a little mild washing up liquid and rinse well
with water after cleaning.
5. Let the filter air-dry for about 24 hours. Refit the filter only when it is completely dry.
Cleaning the foam filter
1. Make sure that the plug is unplugged from the mains.
2. Remove the cloth filter.
3. Hand wash the filter with water and a little mild washing up liquid and rinse well
with water after cleaning.
4. Allow the filter to air dry. Replace the filter only when it is completely dry.
Troubleshooting guide
The vacuum

• Make sure that the mains lead is undamaged and securely
plugged into a wall socket.
• Make sure that the wall socket is live.

• The dust bag is full. Empty the dust bag.
