Automatic Context Activation (ACA)
With ACA enabled, the terminal automatically establishes a data connection when it is
registered on the satellite network.
To set up automatic activation of your data connection, do as follows:
1. Click
gearsalt
in the right side of the tile with the connection package that you want to change.

Automatic Context Activation (ACA)
.
• When you select
Automatic Context Activation (ACA)
and connect to the LAN or
WLAN interface, the data connection is automatically established as soon as the
EXPLORER 710 and its BGAN connection are ready.
• When you
disable
automatic activation (default), you can control the data connection
manually from the startup page.
Note
Different types of connection packages have different setup for ACA:
• For the predefined Standard (shared) connection package, ACA is disabled by
default but can be enabled.
• For a new shared connection package, ACA is disabled and cannot be enabled.
• For a dedicated DHCP connection, ACA is enabled by default and cannot be
disabled.
• For a dedicated static IP connection, ACA can be enabled or disabled.
Note
You are charged for the data transferred. You may want to disable automatic
updates in your LAN or WLAN device to avoid unnecessary charges.
