and must be recharged regularly. A fully charged

battery will provide up to 40 hours of continuous

operation before needing to be recharged.

However, operating time can vary depending

on usage and the condition of the battery

pack. Recharge the battery regularly.

Installing or Replacing the Battery Pack

The

AMPS-BLUE-KU Bluetooth speaker microphone gets its power from a rechargeable Lithium-Ion type

battery pack. The battery pack must be installed inside the microphone prior to operation. Under normal
usage, this battery should have a lifespan of over 1,500 charge/discharge cycles before needing to be replaced.

To access the battery compartment:

1.  Rotate the clothing clip on the back of the speaker microphone 90° to expose the thumbscrew at

the top of the battery compartment cover. Rotate the thumbscrew counter-clockwise until the cover

opens. Remove the battery door.

2.  Insert the rechargeable battery pack into the battery compartment. Ensure that the battery

terminals are properly lined up with the contacts inside of the battery compartment.

3.  Reinstall the battery compartment cover and rotate the thumbscrew clockwise to tighten.

Do NOT over tighten.

The AMPS-BLUE-KU speaker microphone is designed to work with

smart devices running either the Android or Apple iOS operating

systems. Prior to normal operation, the phone and speaker

microphone must be paired together using the following process

(note the process for iOS and Android are di

ff

erent):

To pair the AMPS-BLUE-KU speaker microphone with a Android phone:

1. When pairing the speaker microphone with an Android phone,

fi

rst make sure that the AMPS-BLUE-KU

and all other nearby Bluetooth devices are powered o

ff

 before beginning.

2. Press and hold down the Power Button on the AMPS-BLUE-KU for

fi

ve seconds, until the LED on the

speaker microphone

fl

ashes RED-BLUE-RED-BLUE continuously in sequence. The BTH-600-KU speaker

microphone is now in pairing mode.

3. Activate the Bluetooth feature on your phone.

4. Activate the “scan/discover new Bluetooth devices” feature on the phone. The exact steps needed

to do this will vary depending on the brand/model of phone you are using.

5. Select the BTH-600-KU from the list of Bluetooth devices shown on your phone. If the phone asks for a

passcode, enter “0000”. The phone may also prompt you to con

fi

rm the connection.

6. After a few seconds, the two devices should synch to one another. Once the AMPS-BLUE-KU speaker

microphone and phone are paired with each other, the status LED on the microphone will revert back

to a single blue

fl

ash every few seconds.

7. Once successfully paired, you will be able to make and receive phone calls using the AMPS-BLUE-KU

speaker microphone.
