Please contact seller directly if you cannot eliminate
the error by yourself. Please note that the unprofes-
sional performance of repair work will lead to the loss
of any warranty claims and that additional costs may
be incurred.
Background knowledge
The following section explains terms that are impor-
tant for the electrical operating media (e.g. cables,
fuses, consumers) when operating generator units:
Frequency response characteristic
Generator units cause a non-sinus formed frequency
response characteristic of alternating current which
may damage electronic units (e.g. computers, con-
sumer electronics, etc.).
Do not use electronic appliances as consumers.
Apparent power S
The apparent power is the required performance for
which the electrical media must be designed in order
to not be damaged, or to not display considerable
drops in performance.
Only use electrical media in accordance with the
specified apparent power.
The apparent power is specified in Volt Ampere (VA).
Effective power P
The effective power is the power a consumer may
actually have. The effective power is thus generally
lower than the apparent power.
The effective power is specified in Watt (W).
Power factor cos
φ
The power factor refers to the relationship between
effective and apparent power.
The power factor specifies what proportion of the
apparent power is converted to the required effective
power.
When using electrical motors, the power factor is
generally between 0.92 and 0.8, and with a electrical
heating spiral it is 1.
The power factor is often specified on the type plates
of electrical motors.
Starting current IA
The starting current is the current required by some
consumers (e.g. electrical motors) on start up in
order to accelerate their own centrifugal mass. The
starting current is often greater than the current
needed for subsequent operation by a factor of 5 to
10.
The starting current is given in Ampere (A).
Please take note of the technical data for the devices
connected as consumers.
Technical data
The motor does not reach the
maximum speed.
Is the air filter soiled?
Clean the air filter.
Spark plug is dirty (tip is sooty)?
Clean the spark plug.
Electrode spacing of the spark
plug is too big?
Set the correct electrode distance
(
Wrong fuel?
Empty the tank and fill with the
right mixture.
The motor does not stop.
Spark plug:
Is the electrode light grey, show-
ing burn signs?
Wrong spark plug.
No power supply.
Was the overload protection trig-
gered?
Set the circuit-breaker switch to
ON.
