SPEED CONTROLLER

TESTING THE SOLID STATE SPEED CONTROLLER

SPEED CONTROLLER REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the batteries and discharge the controller. See Disconnect the Batteries – Electric Vehicles
on page 1-5.
2. Remove the two screws (5) from controller cover (1) and remove cover. (Figure 13-6, Page 13-8) .
3. Disconnect the heavy gauge wires from the controller by removing the three screws (1). (Figure 13-6, Page 13-8) .
4. Disconnect the 16-pin connector, 4-pin connector, and spade connectors from the controller (6).
5. Remove the one self-tapping screw (3) nearest the B- terminal of the controller. Loosen the remaining two
self-tapping screws (3) that secure the controller and remove controller from vehicle.
