Pre-Operation and Daily Safety Checklist

Performance Inspection See Performance Inspection on page 10-2.
Daily service by owner
Batteries Charge batteries (after each daily use only).
Weekly service by owner Batteries
Check electrolyte level. Add water if
necessary. See page 25-3.
Batteries
Wash battery tops and clean terminals with
baking soda/water solution.
Tires
Check air pressure and adjust if necessary.
See Vehicle Specifications – Electric
Vehicles on page 2-3.
Monthly service by owner or trained
technician
General vehicle
Wash battery compartment and underside of
vehicle.
Check brake shoes; replace if necessary or
adjust as required.
See Wheel Brake Assemblies Section.
Lubricate brake slides per Lubrication
Schedule. See Wheel Brake Assemblies
Section.
Brake system
Check brake cables for damage; replace if
necessary.
Electrical wiring and connections Check for tightness and damage.
Forward/Reverse switch
Check condition of contacts and wire
connections; make sure connections are tight.
Front wheel alignment and camber
Check and adjust as required. See Steering
and Front Suspension Section.
Semiannual service by trained technician
only (or every 50 hours of operation,
whichever comes first)
Motor Controller Output Regulator (MCOR)
Check for loose hardware, cracks, or other
damage.
Annual service by trained technician only
(or every 100 hours of operation, whichever
comes first)
Batteries
If batteries are not performing as expected,

service manual.
