2.4.1 Loading the ink ribbon

• Open the housing by pressing the locking buttons on both sides and lifting the cover.
• Unlock the print mechanism (1) and lift it up.
• Remove the rear ink ribbon media hub.
• Push the ink ribbon as far as possible into the rear media hub.
• Feed the start of the ink ribbon underneath the print head.
• Push the empty roll core onto the front media hub.
• Secure the ink ribbon to the roll core with a piece of adhesive tape (2).
• Wind the ink ribbon around the roll core 2 to 3 times and pull it tight.
• Close the print mechanism. The locking buttons must audibly click into place.
• Close the housing cover.

The position of the ink ribbon roller is shown on a label on the housing cover.
Pay attention to the correct unwinding direction.
If the limit stop of the media hub points to the left, the ink ribbon must unwind itself from
below.
The matt surface of the ink ribbon is the color coating and this must be facing the print
media.
