An RS-232 cable with appropriate terminating connectors. The SG4300 Series package includes
an RS-232 null-modem cable.

Connection Steps

To connect a terminal to the console port, follow these steps:

1.

Check that the console connection settings are configured as described above.

2.

Connect one of the connectors on the RS-232 cable supplied, directly to the console port on the
SG4300 Series.

3.

Connect the other end of the cable to the terminal or the serial connector of the computer
running the communications software.
