Discharging

Discharging removes the memory effect from the batteries which are
not fully discharged and result in a diminished charging capacity.
1.  Connect the adaptor to a power point and the DC plug to the charger.
2.  Insert 1 to 4 batteries (R03, R6, R14 or R20) according to the polarity

markings on the charger. Press them securely against the bottom.
(9 V batteries (6F22) cannot be discharged).

3.  Press the discharge button on left side of the display.
4.  “DISCHARGE” is shown and the blue background light is

illuminated as long as discharging is in progress.

5.  The battery icons flash as long as discharging is in

progress for any of the batteries.

6.  Charging starts automatically when the batteries are discharged.

USB connection

1.  The USB connection can only be used when the batteries

in charger are fully charged or if the charge is empty.

2.  The USB symbol will be lit when the charger’s USB

connection is ready to use.

3.  Connect the USB device to be charged to the USB

outlet on the back of the charger.

Note:

Power consumption cannot exceed 500 mA (5 V).

Disposal

Sort and recycle products where possible, instead of disposing
of them. All electronic products, batteries and packaging material
etc. should be sorted and processed according to local
environmental regulations.

Safety

•

Only charge rechargeable NiMH/Ni-CD batteries;
sizes R03, R6, R14, R20 or 6F22 (9 V).

•

NEVER try to recharge regular dry-cell batteries, alkaline batteries or non-
rechargeable batteries in the battery charger.

•

Never use a higher charging current than that which is recommended or
that is marked on the battery.

•

Always charge rechargeable batteries before using them for the first time
and top them up again every second month.

•

Observe the battery polarity markings on the charger.

•

Do not expose the charger to water or sources of excess heat.

•

Do not use the charger if the connection cable or power adaptor is damaged.

•

The charger is only intended for indoor use.

•

The batteries will become warm when charged, be careful when
removing them.

•

Only use the enclosed adaptor to power the charger.

•

Unplug the adaptor from the power point when the charger is not in use.

Functions

•

Used for quick charging Ni-MH batteries.

•

Instruction manual

Charging

1.  Connect the adaptor to a power point and the DC plug to the charger.
2.  Insert 1 to 4 batteries (R03, R6, R14 or R20) according to the polarity

markings on the charger. Press them securely against the bottom.
9 V batteries (6F22) can be charged one or two at a time.

3.  The charger determines the correct charge automatically.

The display’s icons graphically demonstrate the charging process.

4.  “CHARGE” is displayed when any battery is being charged.

The display will also illuminate as long as charging is in progress.

5.  When all batteries are charged “FULL” will be displayed.
6.  Disconnect the adaptor from the socket and remove the batteries when

charging is finished.

Incorrect batteries

Battery status: When charging commences the charger makes sure that all
the batteries are capable of being recharged and that none of them is inserted
incorrectly. If any of the batteries cannot be charged or are misaligned, “BAD”
will be shown and the icon for the corresponding battery will flash. Charging is
interrupted until the fault has been corrected (i.e. the defective battery has been
removed or realigned).
