Motion Detector Alarm

Safety

Note:

 The alarm emits an extremely loud signal; ear protection 

should be worn during familiarisation exercises and tests in order to 
prevent hearing damage.
•  The product is only intended for indoor use. Do not expose it 

to moisture.

•  Prolonged exposure to the alarm signal can damage your hearing.
•  Do not subject the alarm unit to heavy impacts.

Alarm unit

Remote control

Pairing the alarm unit and remote control

1.  Open the battery compartment by unscrewing the retaining 

screw (4) and sliding the cover down. Insert 3 × AA/LR6 
batteries. 

Note:

 Follow the polarity markings on the bottom of 

the battery compartment. The LED setting indicator (2) will flash 
when the batteries have been inserted correctly.

2.  Press [ LEARN ], immediately point the remote control at the front 

of the alarm unit and press [ ARM ]. The alarm will emit a short 
signal and the LED indicator will stop flashing to confirm that 
the remote has been paired with the alarm unit.

3.  Refit the battery cover and secure it with the retaining screw.

Installation

The alarm unit has a detection range of 6 m straight ahead. It has 
a horizontal detection angle of approximately 110º and a vertical 
detection angle of approximately 70º.

Chime mode

The chime mode is used to notify you when motion is detected in 
the detection zone.
1.  Set the Chime/Alarm switch on remote control to 

Chime

.

2.  Point the remote control at the alarm unit and press [ ARM ]. 

The chime will sound immediately and from then on whenever 
motion is detected.

3.  The chime mode can be disarmed by pressing [ DISARM ] on 

the remote control.

Panic feature

The alarm can be set off without the need for motion to have 
been detected.
1.  Point the remote control at the alarm unit and hold in both 

the [ ARM ] and [ DISARM ] together for two seconds.

2.  The panic feature can be disarmed by pressing [ DISARM ] on 

the remote control.

Testing the motion detector

Testing the operation of the motion detector using the remote control in 
the alarm mode is best avoided due to the high volume. Procedure:
1.  Set the Chime/Alarm switch on remote control to 

Chime

.

2.  Point the remote control at the alarm unit and press [ ARM ]. 

The chime will sound once.

3.  Wait for 15 seconds and then wave your hand in front of 

the motion detector. If the chime sounds, the detector is 
operating correctly.

4.  The alarm unit can now be set to the alarm mode if desired, 

as described in the 

Alarm mode

 section above.

Care and maintenance

•  Clean the product using a lightly moistened cloth. Only use mild 

detergents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.

•  Remove all the batteries if the product is not to be used for 

a long time.

•  Never mix old and new batteries. Change all batteries at 

the same time.

Troubleshooting guide

The 
remote 
control 
doesn’t 
work.

•  The battery is flat. Replace the battery (CR2032).
•  Make sure that the battery is correctly fitted.

and make sure that nothing is between them.

•  The batteries are flat. Replace with new ones

•  Make sure that the batteries are correctly fitted. 

Follow the markings on the bottom of the battery 
compartment.

•  The units have not been paired. Refer to the section 

Pairing the alarm unit and remote control.

•  The alarm unit is poorly positioned (eg in direct 

sunlight, in a draught or above a radiator or 
other source of heat).

Disposal

This product should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. 
If you are unsure how to proceed, contact your local authority.

7.  LED indicator which flashes when the [ ARM ] or [ DISARM ] 

are pressed.

 Note: 

The LED indicator will flash slowly when 

the battery in the remote control begins to lose its charge.

8.  [ ARM ] This button arms the alarm unit.
9.  [ DISARM ] This button disarms the alarm unit.

The remote control has a factory-fitted battery. Open the battery 
compartment and remove the plastic foil tab from the battery 
terminal to activate the remote control.

1.  Wall mounting: Attach the wall bracket to the wall using the two 

provided screws and wall plugs depending on the supporting 
material. The recommended installation height is 1.8–2.4 m. 

Note:

 Be careful to avoid concealed electrical wiring and water 

pipes when drilling or screwing into the wall.

2.  Grip the arm of the bracket and attach the alarm unit to it. 

Slide the alarm unit into the bracket attachment until it clicks 
into place.

Operation

Alarm mode

1.  Set the Chime/Alarm switch on remote control to 

Alarm

.

2.  Point the remote control at the alarm unit and press [ ARM ]. 

The alarm unit will emit a short signal and the LED indicator 
light will flash. There will now be a 45-second delay before 
the unit is armed. The delay gives you time to move out of 
the detection zone.

3.  When motion is detected, the alarm unit will emit a short 

signal and the red LED indicator (3) will flash. There will now 
be a 30-second delay before the alarm sounds. The signal 
will sound for 30 seconds and then turn off. After 15 seconds 
the alarm will be armed again and if any motion is detected 
the alarm cycle will repeat until [ DISARM ] on the remote control 
is pressed.

4.  The alarm mode can be disarmed by pressing [ DISARM ] on 

the remote control.
