Product description
Radio controlled (RC) clocks automatically adjust
to the precise time and even switch from summer
to winter time. Radio-controlled clocks are
controlled by a time signal (long wave 77.5 kHz)
generated by the atomic clock in Braunschweig,
Germany (accuracy ±1 second per 1 million years).
The signal is decoded and the clock adjusts
automatically. The transmitter’s range is 2000 km,
i.e. not reliable north of the Shetlands.
Getting started
Insert one AA/LR6 battery (not included) according
to the marking in the battery compartment on the
bottom of the clock. The hands will move to 4, 8
or 12 o’clock. The clock will then automatically set
itself to correct time within the next 2–10 minutes.
If the clock does not adjust automatically it could
be due to poor reception caused by atmospheric
interference. Leave the clock on overnight.
There is less interference during the night and
more chance of better reception.
Alarm
Setting the alarm
Turn the alarm dial (2) anticlockwise until the red
hand points to the desired alarm time. Never turn
the alarm dial in the other direction, as this can
damage the clock mechanism.
Activating the alarm
Push the switch (3) up to the
ON
position.
The alarm will sound and the face will light up
for 5 seconds at the set alarm time.
Shutting off the alarm
Push the switch (3) down to the
OFF
position.
Snooze
Push the button (4) on top of the clock.
The alarm will sound again after 4–5 minutes.
The snooze function can be used up to six times
in the 30 minutes immediately following the set
alarm time.
Automatic shut off
The buzzer shuts off after two minutes if the alarm
has not been turned off. The alarm is automatically
activated again 12 hours later and will go off at
the set time the next day.
Light
Push the button (4) on top of the clock to activate
the backlight for 5 seconds.
Care and maintenance
Wipe the product using a dry cloth if necessary.
Never use abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
