Safety

N.B.

Check to make sure that the specifications and warnings on the lashing strap are legible. If they

are illegible, do not use the product. Failure to adhere to the safety guidelines can lead to accidents
and personal injury.
•  Not for lifting.
•  Do not exceed the capacity of the ratchet strap.
•  Use the correct type of ratchet strap for the task.
•  Inspect the strap for any damage before using it. If it is damaged, do not use it.
•  If the strap is to be pulled over sharp edges, lay something under the strap to prevent it fraying.
•  Make sure that the strap is locked (handle down) when under tension.
•  When the RELEASE catch is pressed in and the handle is lifted, the tension is released very suddenly.
•  Take care that nobody is injured and that the load is stable enough not to tip over when the tension

is released.

•  Never use a lashing strap with is frayed or knotted.
•  Different types of lashing straps or a mixture of straps and chains should not be used on the same

load. The material of lashing straps varies in elasticity, which can lead to instable fastening.

•  If you have to use different types of lashing strap, make sure that they are compatible.

Note:

The straps may discolour when exposed to PVC.

Use

Tightening

1.  Feed the strap through slot in the take up reel

(A) and pull it to remove any slack.

N.B.

 It is

important that the strap is taut; it is not pos-
sible to reel too much strap onto the ratchet.

2.  Pull the handle (B) up and down to tighten.
3.  Press the handle down to lock.

Loosening

1.  Pull back and hold the RELEASE catch (C).
2.  Lift the handle (B) all the way back.
3.  Pull the strap away from the load so that

the strap becomes loose and can be taken
out of the reel (A).
