Installation
1. If you are using Windows ME or 98SE you must first install the drive
routines from the included CD. This is not required if you are using
Windows XP or 2000.
2. Make sure that the motherboard has a USB 2.0 connection. The memory
card reader is only suited for motherboards with a 9 pin connection. (See
figure). Note: Some older motherboards only have a 10 pin connection,
which is not compatible. Turn off the computer and detach the power
cable. Open the computer case and mount the memory card reader in an
available 3.5”drive bay.
3. Securely connect the memory card’s cable to the motherboard (read the
manual for your motherboard if you are unsure).

Use
1. Insert a memory card (check first
how the memory card should be
inserted so as not to bend the
contacts in the reader).
2. Click on My Computer or Windows
Explorer. The card reader will
show as three Removable Disks.
3. Double-click on the Removable Disk which is represents the memory
card reader.
4. Never take out the memory card while the computer is reading or writing
to it (i.e. when the red LED is blinking).
Note:
If the motherboard’s connection is of type USB 1.1 then the card
reader can only read at this lower speed.
