Soldering and Wood Burning Kit

Please read the entire instruction manual before using the product and then save it for future 
reference. We reserve the right for any errors in text or images and any necessary changes

Safety

Symbol guide

•  Place the product on its stand after use.
•  Do not leave the product unsupervised when it is connected to an electrical socket or 

before it has cooled.

•  Never cover the product when it is connected to an electrical socket or before it has cooled.
•  Never expose the product to rain or moisture.
•  Always unplug the mains lead from the wall socket when you have finished work or when 

the product is not being used.

•  Let the product cool completely before putting it away for storage.
•  Do not use the wood burning tip on materials that melt, e.g. plastic or synthetic leather.
•  Be careful when using the tool in the vicinity of combustible materials.
•  Do not hold the tool on the same spot for a long time.
•  Never use the tool in an explosive atmosphere.

Product description

Included accessories

•  9 different tips.
•  18 branding irons.
•  Soldering tip for soft soldering.
•  Knife blade (and holder) for cutting plastic, cutting and cauterising rope, etc.

2.  Plug the soldering iron into an appropriate wall socket and set the power switch [ 0/I/II ] 

(1) to 

I

 or 

II

 , depending on the project you are working on. Wait about 5 min until the iron 

reaches operating temperature. The LED (2) will shine red when the iron is on.

3.  Make sure that the area you are planning to work on is clean.
4.  Carry out the desired procedure according to the instructions found later in this section.
5.  Set [ 0/I/II ] to the 

0

 position to turn the soldering iron off.

6.  Unplug the soldering iron from the wall socket and let it cool naturally while resting on its stand.

Soft soldering

1.  Mount the soldering tip.
2.  Set the power switch [ 0/I/II ] to the 

II

 (25 W) position.

3.  “Tin” the tip using lead-free solder.
4.  Heat the surfaces to be joined with the soldering tip.
5.  Melt an adequate amount of solder onto the heated surfaces.
6.  Let the soldered joints cool down.
7.  Clean the soldering tip with a wet sponge while it is still hot.

Hot knife cutting (cutting plastic, cutting and cauterising rope, etc.)

1.  Mount the knife and its holder onto the iron.
2.  Set the power switch [ 0/I/II ] to the 

II

 (25 W) position.

3.  Let the blade fully come up to operating temperature before cutting.

Wood burning

1.  Mount one of the nine wood-burning tips.
2.  Sketch out what you plan to draw with a pencil first before using the wood burning tip.
3.  Set [ 0/I/II ] to one of these positions:

 (7 W) for use on genuine leather.

 

-

II

 (25 W) for use on wood.

4.  Hold the soldering iron as you would a normal pen and trace the pattern that you have 

drawn out. Do not hold the tool on the same spot for a long time. 

Note:

 Mistakes in wood 

can be sanded away.

Branding

1.  Mount one of the nine branding iron tips.
2.  Set [ 0/I/II ] to one of these positions:

 (7 W) for use on genuine leather.

II

 (25 W) for use on wood.

3.  Let the branding iron heat up to temperature.
4.  Press the branding iron against the surface. Do not hold the tool on the same spot for 

a long time.

Care and maintenance

Risk for possible hazards which can lead to serious personal injury and/or damage 
to the product if the included written instructions are not carefully followed.

Electric shock warning.

Unplug the product immediately if the mains lead has been damaged or when 
inspecting.

General safety instructions

•  This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with 

reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if 
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe 
way and understand the hazards involved.

•  The product should not be used if it is in any way damaged or malfunctioning.
•  Never attempt to modify the product in any way.
•  Any repairs should only be carried out by qualified service technicians.

Electrical safety

•  Do not use the product if it is missing parts or if its housing has been damaged in any way.
•  Do not place the product where there is a risk of it falling into water or other types of liquid.
•  The product should only be connected to a 230 V, 50 Hz electrical outlet.
•  Outdoor use of the product requires that any wall socket used be equipped with a max 30 mA 

RCD. Check the RCD before each use. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

•  The mains lead should be checked regularly. Never use the product if the mains lead or 

plug is damaged.

•  The 

mains lead

 must be changed if damaged. This is to prevent the risk of electric shock 

or fire and should only be carried out by the manufacturer, authorised service facility or 
a qualified tradesman.

•  Never touch the mains plug if your hands are moist or wet.
•  Always grip the plug when unplugging, never pull the mains lead.
•  Never carry or hang the product by its mains lead.

Product specific safety instructions

Warning:

 The product’s soldering tip/accessory becomes very hot during use. 

This can cause burn injuries. Rinse any burn with cold water and keep it under 
running water for some time.

Accessory mounting

Changing accessories (tips, branding irons and blades)

• 

Warning:

 Soldering tips/accessories must first be allowed to 

cool down before changing.

•  Always pull the plug from the wall socket before changing tips/

accessories.

1.  Grip the tip/accessory (4) with a pair of tongs and 

twist anti-clockwise until it comes loose and can be 
removed.

2.  Screw in the desired accessory tip by twisting 

it clockwise and pull it into a fixed position with 
the tongs.

Operating instructions

Warning:

 The mounted soldering tip/ 

accessory becomes very hot during use. 
This presents a fire hazard and a risk for 
burn injuries.

Preparations

1.  Bend up the support stand (3) and rest the soldering 

iron on it.

•  Unplug the soldering iron from the wall socket before cleaning.
•  Clean the product using a lightly moistened cloth. Use only mild cleaning 

agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.

Responsible disposal

This symbol indicates that this product should not be disposed of with general 
household waste. This applies throughout the entire EU. In order to prevent 
any harm to the environment or health hazards caused by incorrect waste 
disposal, the product must be handed in for recycling so that the material can 
be disposed of in a responsible manner. When recycling your product, take it to 
your local collection facility or contact the place of purchase. They will ensure 
that the product is disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
