Operation
Getting Started
• Insert one 9 V battery according to the markings in the battery
compartment. N.B. To prevent leakage, remove the battery
when you don’t expect to use the device for a long time.
• When using the adaptor, plug the connector into the socket (7)
on the side of the receiver. Plug the adaptor into a wall socket.
Transmitter
• The transmitter is operated by one 9 V battery.
• Place the transmitter in an appropriate location but no further
than 2 metres from the child for optimal voice reception.
• Turn on the transmitter by setting the channel selector (2) to A
or B. The red power indicator (5) should then lit.
• Make sure the same channel is set on both the receiver
and transmitter.
• The sensitivity level can be adjusted by turning the dial for
sound level control (4).
Receiver
• The receiver can be operated by one 9 V battery or the
included adaptor.
• Turn on the transmitter by setting the channel selector (2) to A
or B. The red power indicator (5) should then be lit.
• Make sure the same channel is set on both the receiver and
transmitter.
• Adjust the volume to the desired level.
• The three LEDs indicate the intensity of the sound level from the
source. The higher the sound level the more LEDs will be lit.
Care and maintenance
• Wipe the product using a soft damp cloth when necessary.
Troubleshooting
• If the transmitter is placed out of range of the receiver, inter-
ference may be heard and reception may be completely lost.
Move the devices closer to each other.
• If the transmitter is placed too close to the receiver a sharp
high-pitched sound (feedback) may be heard. Increase the
distance or decrease the volume (but not too low as to make
the device ineffective).
• Constant background noise can mean that the batteries need to
be changed.
