• 

Warning:

 Do not open the casing! The casing houses certain 

unshielded components carrying dangerous voltages which if 
touched may give you an electric shock.

•  This appliance should only be repaired by a qualified service technician.
•  Disconnect the mains lead after use. 
•  Never leave the curling tongs unattended when they are plugged 

into an electrical socket.

•  Never use the appliance while bathing, showering or in such as way 

that it can fall into water or other liquid.

•  Never touch the curling tongs if they are plugged in and have fallen 

into water.

•  Do not touch the appliance with wet hands.
•  Never allow children to use the curling tongs without adult supervision.
•  Never use the appliance if the plug, mains lead or other parts  

are damaged.

•  Do not use the mains lead to carry the appliance.
•  Protect the mains lead from hot or sharp objects.
•  For indoor use only.
•  Do not use the appliance in environments where aerosol sprays, 

oxygen or other concentrated chemicals are present.

•  The installation of an RCD with a tripping current of 30 mA can help 

prevent lethal electric shocks. Consult a competent electrician if 
you are uncertain.

•  The appliance may be used by children of 8 years and above and 

by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability or 
lack of experience and knowledge provided they have been given 
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe 
way and understand the hazards involved. 

•  Never let children play with the appliance.
•  If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, 

its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

Buttons and functions

11. Hold in the [   ] button for a few seconds to switch the heat off. 

The power indicator light will go out. Unplug the curling tongs when 
you have finished using them. 

12. Let the curling tongs cool completely before putting them away for 

storage.

Note:

 The curling tongs will shut off automatically after 60 minutes of non-use. 

We recommend that you use a heat protecting hair care product on 
your hair before you begin using the curling tongs.

Warning: 

•  Parts of the curling tongs can become very hot during use.  

Use extreme caution when handling.

•  Do not use the curling tongs on artificial hair, wigs, etc. The hair can melt.
•  Never use the curling tongs if you have sensitive hair, an injured 

scalp or if you are overly sensitive to the produced heat.

•  Never use the tongs on wet hair. 

Care and maintenance

•  Store the curling tongs in their original package when you are not 

using them. Do not wind the lead around the tongs. Carefully fold 
up the lead away from the tongs.

•  Let the curling tongs cool completely before putting them into their box.
•  Pull out the plug and let the curling tongs cool before cleaning them.
•  Always clean the curling tongs after you have used oils or other hair 

care products in your hair. Use a soft damp cloth to wipe the curling 
tongs. Make sure that the curling tongs are completely dry before 
using them or putting them away.

•  Never use strong detergents or solvents.
•  Never immerse the curling tongs in liquid.
•  The curling tongs should only be repaired by qualified service staff.

Operating instructions

1.  Plug the mains lead into an electrical outlet (with dry hands).
2.  Hold in the [   ] button for a few seconds to switch the heat on. 

The power indicator light will be off in the OFF setting.

3.  Set the desired temperature, 120–200 °C using [ 

 ] and [ 

 ]. 

Every press of the temperature control buttons increases/decreases 
the temperature setting by 20 °C. 

4.  The display has 5 blue indicator lights which light up as the curling 

tongs heat up. When just one of the lights is lit, the tongs are at  
120 °C, two lights lit means 140 °C, 3 means 160 °C, 4 means 180 °C, 
and 5 lights means 200 °C. 

5.  Hold the tongs or fold out the support stand underneath and place 

them on a heat resistant surface.

6.  When the desired temperature has been reached the indicator 

lights will shine steadily. 

7.  Never use the tongs until your hair is completely dry.
8.  Divide your hair in sections/locks and use hair clips to keep it 

separated. Thick or long hair may need several treatments.

9.  Open the tongs and clamp a lock of hair (about 5 cm wide). Make 

sure that your hair is evenly distributed and begin rolling the tongs 
upwards towards your scalp.

10. Keep the hair wrapped around the curling tongs for 5–10 seconds 

depending on your hair type. Carefully open the clamp and remove 
your hair from the tongs.
