Lighting

Switch with  
return spring  
(not included)*

* Only used if one wants to control the dimmer from another part of 
the room, e.g. two-way switch. 

Use

1.  Quickly push the button to turn on the light; it will be turned on with 

the latest setting. 

2.  Push and hold the button longer to adjust the light from the last 

setting towards maximum light.  Release the button at desired 
setting (the setting will be saved in the memory to the next change 
of light strength). 

3.  Quickly push the button to turn off the light. 

Remote control 

•  The dimmer can be remote controlled from other return spring 

switches (not included), see diagram. 

•  Use one or several return spring switches the same way as the push 

button on the dimmer.  Quickly push the button to turn on the light. 

Note:

 Return spring switch is an accessory and is not included but can 

be bought in well stocked stores. 

Fuses

The dimmer is protected by a fuse (250 V 1.25 A slow blow fuse)  
(5 x 20 mm). The fuse blows if the output power is greater than 300 W. 

Switch the fuse like this: 

1.  Insert a screwdriver or similar in the gap between the inner and 

outer face plate on the front and carefully remove the inner frame 
and the push button. 

2.  The fuse is positioned in a holder below the push button, grip the 

small handle and pull out the fuse holder, and replace the fuse with 
one of the same rating!

Installation

Note: 

Installation should be performed by a certified electrician.

1.  Make sure that the current is 230 VAC and the dimmer’s load will 

only consist of light bulbs and halogen lamps. 

2.  Shut off the mains to the area of installation. 
3.  Insert a screwdriver or similar in the gap between the inner and 

outer face plate on the front and carefully remove the inner frame 
and the push button. 

4.  Wire to the dimmer according to the diagram and tighten the 

screws. 

5.  Insert the dimmer in the existing pattress and tighten it with the 

two screws or mount the dimmer on the outside with the mounting 
frame 36-1821 (not included). 

6.  Attach the inner face plate and the push button. 
7.  Turn on the power and test the operation of the dimmer.
