Instructions for use
Control knob settings
The control knob has four settings:
OFF – No heat (cooker turned off)
LOW – Low heat
HIGH – High heat
WARM – “Keep warm” setting
The WARM mode should only be used to keep the food warm. Food should only
be cooked on the LOW or HIGH setting and then the cooker should be set to WARM
to keep the food warm. A dish that needs 4–6 hours of cooking on HIGH needs approx-
imately 9–11 hours on LOW.
Cooking
1. First, follow the instructions in the Getting started section.
2. Prepare the ingredients in accordance with the recipe and place them into
the stoneware pot.
3. Plug the cooker into a power socket and set the control knob (6) to the desired
operating mode (LOW/HIGH/WARM). The indicator light will turn on.
4. When the food is ready, turn the control knob to OFF and then unplug the cooker
from the power socket.
5. Empty the contents into a serving dish or serve directly from the stoneware pot.
6. Allow the pot and lid to cool before cleaning them.
• Keep in mind that the stoneware pot will become hot during the cooking process.
Use oven gloves or an oven cloth when handling the stoneware pot.
• Angle the lid away from you to avoid being scalded by steam.
Cooking tips
Certain ingredients are not suitable for slow cooking. Pasta, shellfish and dairy products
should be added not more than 2 hours before serving. Note that cooking times can
vary depending on the temperature and amount of ingredients. Ingredients in large
pieces can require a longer cooking time.
