Troubleshooting guide
Something is obscuring
the camera lens.
• The camera lens has an IR filter which, when
the camera is switched off, can end up in a position
where it obscures the lens. When the camera is
turned on, the filter returns to its correct position.
The remote control is not
working.
• Check the battery and replace it if necessary.
• The remote control is too far away from the camera,
max distance approx 9 m.
• Memory card missing. Turn off the camera and insert
a memory card.
The display is blank/does
not come on in Test mode.
• The display goes blank automatically after 3 minutes
if no settings are changed.
No photos/videos taken. • The function switch is in
TEST
or
OFF
mode.
• The memory card is write-protected.
• Discharged batteries.
Many blank photos/
videos.
• The camera sensitivity is set incorrectly.
• The camera is aimed incorrectly.
Black and white photos/
videos.
• In darkness the photos will be black and white.
Poorly defined photos/
videos.
• Incorrect distance to subject.
• Check the lens, clean it if necessary.
The camera (memory
card) is not found when
the camera is connected
to a computer.
• Check that the USB cable is intact and properly
connected to both the camera and computer.
• Incorrect formatting of memory card.
The camera cannot find
the memory card.
• Incorrect formatting, format the memory card in
the camera.
• Memory card too big, the maximum is 32 GB.
• Check that the memory card is not locked.
• The memory card may be defective, try another
memory card.
