Voltage selection

1.  Select the proper voltage. Check the product’s

rating plate or count the number of batteries
for calculation first. Each battery has a 1.5 V
value (2 batteries = 3 V, 4 batteries = 6 V,
8 batteries = 12 V).

2.  Set the adaptor’s selector switch to the proper

voltage.

Checking battery polarity

1.  Select the proper adaptor tip. Check the polarity

of the product to be run off the polarity inverter.
Connect the adaptor tip so that the (+) symbol
lines up with “TIP” on the power inverter cord
which corresponds to the power inverter’s
positive centre conductor pin.
Positive centre conductor pin symbol:

Fuse replacement

Twist the plastic tip on the cigarette lighter plug
anticlockwise and check the fuse. If the fuse has
blown or if you are uncertain, replace the fuse.
Only replace with 3 A rated fuses.

Safety guidelines

1.  Always check for correct voltage selection

and polarity since any driven device will
be susceptible to damage by constant
overvoltage and/or reversed polarity.

2.  Do not use the power inverter for devices that

use currents exceeding 1.5 A.

3.  Never try to dismantle the adaptor.

4.  Pull the plug out of the cigarette lighter socket

when the power inverter is not in use.

Disposal

The product should be disposed of in accordance
with local regulations. If you are unsure how to
proceed, contact your local council.

Note:

Selecting an incorrect polarity setting may

cause permanent damage to the product being
connected.

2.  Connect the adaptor tip to the device to

be powered.

3.  Connect the power plug to your car’s cigarette

lighter socket. The green LED should then
come on. If no light is seen, refer to the

Fuse

replacement

 section below.

4.  Turn the load device on. If the device does not

power on, turn off the power immediately and
check the polarity as in shown in steps 1–3
above.
