Safety

WARNING: 

Even the tiniest amount of lamp oil from  

the lamp or wick ingested by a small child can lead to  
severe lung damage.

WARNING:

 If any lamp oil has been swallowed, do not induce 

vomiting. Seek immediate medical advice or contact a poison 
information centre, read the warning on the lamp oil label. 

WARNING: 

Explosion hazard – never use a fuel other than 

pure lamp oil/paraffin. NEVER use petrol, meths or other  
highly flammable substances.
Never fill the lamp if the oil container is warm or if the wick  
is still glowing.
For outdoor use only.

WARNING:

 Keep the lamp out of children’s reach both  

when in use and when stored.
Never leave a lit oil lamp unattended.
The oil lamp must not be modified in any way. Use only 
genuine wick.

Product description

• 

Oil lamp for outdoor use with replaceable wick and 
metal oil container.

• 

Only for lamp oil or paraffin.

Use

1.   Remove the oil container.
2.   Unscrew the wick holder (3) anticlockwise and remove  

the wick. Make sure that the wick (2) looks good.  
Adjust the length of the wick if needed.

3.   Fill the oil container (4) with lamp oil/paraffin. The oil 

container holds up to 100 ml oil. 

4.   Push the wick into the oil container and screw the wick 

holder in clockwise.

5.   Position the base of the lamp in a suitable place and let  

the wick absorb some fuel before lighting it.

6.   Extinguish the flame by placing the lid (1) over the wick 

holder guard.

7.   The oil lamp will burn for approximately 4 hours. If the wick 

is extinguished before the fuel has run out, the wick will  
last longer.

Replacing/adjusting the wick

1.   Remove the remains of the old wick.
2.   Wrap some tape around the end of the new wick  

(if it doesn’t already have any).

3.   Thread the taped end of the wick through the wick holder 

from underneath.

4.   Pull the wick through the wick holder so the tape can  

be removed.

5.   Adjust the wick so that it protrudes about 3 mm above  

the top edge of the wick holder.

Wicks can be purchased as accessories, art. no: 31.4656-1.
