Product description
Safety
• Never open the casing. Certain components within the product’s casing
carry dangerous currents may give you an electric shock if touched.
• Do not place the product where there is a risk of it falling into water
or other liquid. Never place the product close to objects that can
spill water or other liquid to spill onto it, such as vases or drinks.
• Make sure that the ventilation openings are kept free from obstructions.
• Only use the product with the designated or recommended mains lead.
Getting started
• Open the battery cover on the back of the radio. Insert and connect a
9-volt battery and close the battery cover. The backup battery prevents
the clock settings from being lost in the event of a power cut.
• Plug the mains transformer’s connector into the mains lead socket
on the back of the radio and then plug the mains transformer into
an electrical socket.
Operating instructions
Setting the time
1. Press and hold in
TIME
[7] and
HOUR
[2] simultaneously until
the correct hour has been set.
2. Press and hold in
TIME
[7] and
MINUTE
[4] simultaneously until
the correct minutes have been set.
Note:
The PM indicator appears in the afternoon when the clock is in
12-hour clock mode.
Setting and activating the alarm
1. Press and hold in
ALARM
[5] and
HOUR
[2] simultaneously until
the correct hour has been set.
2. Press and hold in
ALARM
[5] and
MINUTE
[4] simultaneously until
the correct minutes have been set.
3. Select the desired form of wake-up signal using the
ALARM/
RADIO
selector [18]. Setting the selector to
ALARM
will cause
alarm signal to sound at the designated time; setting the selector to
RADIO
will cause the radio to come on at the designated time.
4. Set the
ON/OFF/AUTO
switch [1] to the
AUTO
setting to activate
the alarm or to the
OFF
setting to deactivate the alarm.
Snooze (repeat alarm)
• When the alarm sounds or the radio comes on, press
SNOOZE
[3]
to temporarily interrupt the alarm and have it repeat after an interval
of 9 minutes.
• Set the
ON/OFF/AUTO
selector to
OFF
to deactivate the alarm.
Listening to the radio
1. Set the
ON/OFF/AUTO
selector [1] to
ON
to turn the radio on.
2. Select the desired waveband,
AM
or
FM
using the waveband
selector,
BAND
[10].
3. Tune into a station using the
TUNING
dial [11].
4. Adjust the volume to the desired level using the
VOLUME
control [9].
5. Set the
ON/OFF/AUTO
selector [1] to
OFF
to turn the radio off.
Waking up to the radio
1. Set the
ON/OFF/AUTO
selector [1] to the
AUTO
setting.
2. Select the desired waveband,
AM
or
FM
using the waveband
selector,
BAND
[10].
3. Tune into a station using the
TUNING
dial [11].
4. Adjust the volume to the desired level using the
VOLUME
control [9].
5. The radio will now come on at the set alarm time.
- Press
SNOOZE
[3] to temporarily turn the radio off. The radio will
come on again after 9 minutes. To fully turn the radio off, set
the
ON/OFF/AUTO
selector [1] to
OFF
.
Sleep timer (shuts the radio off after a set time)
1. Set the
ON/OFF/AUTO
selector [1] to either
OFF
or
AUTO
.
2. Press
SLEEP
[8] to turn the radio on. The radio will play for
59 minutes and then automatically switch off.
3. The sleep time setting can be increased to a maximum of 1 hour
59 minutes by holding
SLEEP
[8] down and pressing
HOUR
[2] at
the same time. The sleep time setting can be lowered by holding in
SLEEP
[8] and pressing
MINUTE
[4] until the desired duration has
been set.
4. The radio will now turn off automatically after the set time has elapsed.
5. The sleep timer can be turned off at any time simply by pressing
SNOOZE
[3] once.
Care and maintenance
Clean the product using a lightly moistened cloth.

This product should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
