Safety

Warning:

•  This product may only be used outdoors in dry weather and never 

left unattended.

•  Take the product indoors in the event of rain and after use.
•  The product can become very hot during use and cause burns. 

Special care must be taken if the product is used in the same room 
as young children, aged or infirm persons.

•  Never cover the product, doing so could cause overheating and fire.
•  The product has no thermostat function to control the room 

temperature. Never use the product in spaces which are too small 
or premises containing persons incapable of leaving the premises 
themselves unless the product can be supervised continuously.

•  The product may be used by children of 8 years and above and 

by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability or 
lack of experience and knowledge provided they have been given 
supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe 
way and understand the hazards involved.

•  Never let children play with the product.
•  Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children 

without supervision.

•  The appliance must be kept out of reach of children under 3 years 

of age unless they are under constant supervision.

•  Children between the ages of 3 and 8 years must only switch 

the appliance on/off provided that it has been placed or installed 
in its intended normal operating position and they have been given 
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe 
way and understand the hazards involved.

•  Children between the ages of 3 and 8 years must not plug in, 

regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.

•  The product must only be connected to a standard domestic 

230 V, 50 Hz electrical supply.

•  The product must only be used as described in this instruction manual.
•  The product should never be connected using an on/off timer or 

other equipment which can automatically switch the appliance on.

•  Never mount the product immediately in front of or below a mains 

outlet.

•  If the mains lead is damaged it must only be replaced by a qualified 

electrician.

•  Never use the product if your hands are moist or wet.
•  Never try to open the housing, repair or modify the product in any way.
•  Repairs must only be carried out by qualified electricians and only 

using genuine spare parts.

•  Never use the product where it risks being exposed to moisture or 

splashed by water or any other types of liquids.

•  Never position the product where it is exposed to rain or snow.
•  Never place the product in a shower or bathroom or in such as way 

that it can fall down into water or other liquid.

•  Never leave the product unattended when it is connected to 

the power supply. Always unplug the product from the power point 
when it is not in use.

•  Never insert foreign objects through the safety grille or housing. 

Doing so could result in an electric shock.

•  Never use the product in areas where explosive or flammable gases 

or liquids are stored.

•  Do not leave the product in direct sunlight for long periods.
•  The product must only be placed on a firm, flat surface.

Place the product at least 1 m away from combustible materials.

•  Do not subject the product to impacts or shocks and do not 

expose it to extremely hot, cold or dusty environments.

Note:

The heater is fitted with a tip-over switch which switches the heater off 
if it falls over. The heater will then switch on again automatically once it 
has been stood back up.

Care and maintenance

•  Always unplug the lead from the power point and let the product 

cool down before cleaning or moving it.

•  Clean the product using a lightly moistened cloth. Use only mild 

cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.

•  Unplug the mains lead from the wall socket and store the product 

in a dry, dust-free environment out of the reach of children 
whenever it is not to be used for an extended period.
