Description
The ClareOne Rate-Of-Rise heat detector uses a built-in
thermistor to sample and report on a specific set temperature
or a sudden rise in temperature.
Heat
– selectable 135F or 200F
Rate of Rise
– rapid temp rise 12F per minute
Note:
The device is powered by a 3V lithium battery providing
up to 10 years of battery life.
Installation
Heat detectors are normally installed in areas that are prone to
smoke such as kitchens and garages.
Installation notes:
•
Avoid areas that may have rapidly increasing
temperatures such as fireplaces, stoves, heaters, etc.
•
When mounting the detector should be placed on a ceiling
at least 4 inches away from any wall. If placed on a wall
the detector must be within 6 inches of the ceiling.
•
If using the sensor with the heat setting at 135°F make
sure the ceiling location does not exceed this temperature.
Setup:
The detector can be setup to detect a fixed temperature of
either 135F or 200F.
Low
– 135F
High
– 200F
Note:
if no jumper is installed the detector is set to 200F
To set detection temperature
: Use the jumper to select Low
or Hi.

To add the detector:
1.
Put the ClareOne panel in “add mode” and follow the
displayed instructions for adding the sensor.
2. Open the sensor body case and depress the tamper
switch.
3.
Exit “add mode.”
