EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY
When using the safe for the first time or when the batteries have run down an
external power source is used.
Insert four AA batteries into the battery holder supplied taking care to observe the
correct polarity.
Using the jack plug connect it to the keypad as shown.
MECHANICAL OVERRIDE KEY
Should the batteries run down completely or the lock malfunction the safe can
be opened in an emergency by using the mechanical override key.
Locate the small hole in the bottom side of the fascia plate on the safe door.
Using the jack plug from the external power pack or similar, push up into the
hole to uncover the override lock.
When the lock is revealed insert the override key and turn to the right
(clockwise) to unlock the door.
Turn the handle to open the safe.
After opening the safe and replacing the batteries, turn the override key to the
left (counter clockwise) and take out the key. Replace the plastic
cover.
DO NOT KEEP THE EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY OR OVERRIDE KEY
INSIDE THE SAFE.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Wrong try lock out
If an incorrect PIN code is entered three times in a row a beep will sound for 10 seconds and the lock
will not operate for 3 minutes.
Please wait three minutes before attempting again to enter your PIN number.
Low battery warning
When the batteries are low the LCD
display will show “LO-BAT” whenever the lock is used.
Please change the batteries immediately (4 x AA size 1.5V)
