B740 Abbreviated instruction

• Rotate the screw down crown counterclockwise until it releases from the case 

before operating it. After operation, with pressing it to the case, rotate the crown 

clockwise to tighten it firmly.

Changing the mode

You can switch two modes on the watch; the time mode and the chronograph 

mode.

Press and hold lower right button

 for 2 seconds or more.

To check the power reserve level

While the watch is in time mode, the function hand points to the current power 

reserve level.

• When the watch changes into the dive mode, the current power reserve level is 

not shown.

To change into the dive mode

The watch changes into the dive mode automatically as the water sensor gets wet 

while it is in time mode.

• It does not change into the dive mode when the function hand points “NG”.

Setting the time

1. 

Press and hold the lower right button

 to change the mode to 

the time mode.

The mode hand points to “DV”.

2. 

Pull the crown out to position

 when the 

second hand points 0 second.

The function hand points the 0 second position.

3. 

Rotate the crown to set the time.

4. 

Push the crown in to position

 in accordance with a reliable 

time source to finish the procedure.

The second hand starts moving.

Setting the date indication

• Do not adjust the date indication while the watch shows 9:00 PM ‒ 1:00 AM. 

Otherwise, the date indication may change incorrectly thereafter.
