Step 3
Attach the grounding cable to the grounding point on the side of the chassis.
a) Position the ground lug.
b) Align the terminal holes in the ground lug with the terminal holes in the side of the chassis.
c) Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, insert and tighten two M5 x 10mm pan-head screws to secure the grounding cable
to the side of the chassis.

Connecting Rear-Mount Earth Ground
Connecting the chassis to facility earth ground is supported through the chassis ground bracket, which installed
at the side of the bottom set of PSUs.
The facility ground cable must be terminated with the ground lug provided by Cisco, or an equivalent. For
more information, see "Ground Lug" in
Earth Ground Considerations, on page 21
.
Use this procedure to connect the chassis to earth ground.

This procedure assumes that you have already attached the bottom cable management bracket with the
grounding bracket included. For information, see
